Wedding Ceremonies
I work hard to create wonderful wedding celebrations - personal ceremonies, as individual as you are, and carried out wherever you want to have them. Scotland has a wealth of beautiful locations and venues – historic castles, unspoilt beaches, luxury hotels. I have the experience and knowledge to work with you to create the perfect ceremony. I devise ceremonies that match your wishes, whether that is through writing the most personal vows, reading the ideal poem, or sourcing the perfect music. What’s more, I am able to blend different traditions of spirituality, belief, values or faith. I can recommend and create rituals that truly feel right for you as a couple.
Funerals
Funerals and memorials bring people together to express sadness at the loss but also to celebrate the life lived. I work to focus sincerely and affectionately on the person who has died, paying tribute to the connections they made and left behind and the way they lived their life.
​I like to offer a very personal service from start to finish. I will meet with you, listen to your stories and write a script and tribute that celebrates the life of your loved one whilst expressing exactly what you want to say, in the way you want to say it.
Every funeral or memorial ceremony I write is unique. My inspiration is the story of your loved one’s life and time amongst you, the events and special people in their lives and all the things they loved. I will then weave these together to tell the story in just the right way, as a celebration of your loved one’s life. I will focus on honouring, remembering and celebrating the life of your loved one by capturing the essence of who they were and how you want to remember them.
​My funeral and memorial ceremonies range from the small and intimate to the large and formal; traditional or quirky; relaxed or energetic. Your loved one was unique, and the celebration and tribute of their life should be one that reflects who they were, true to their personality and character.
Baby Namings
Being a mum and a granny, I just love baby naming ceremonies. They are a wonderful way to introduce your new addition to your family and friends and to communicate your commitment to the child, to their welfare and their future happiness. There are many different elements that you can introduce into your ceremony to make it unique, personal, meaningful and symbolic of the love and dedication that goes into raising your child. Children of any age can have a ceremony and you can include whoever you choose to take part in the ceremony. It can include a ritual or rituals within it if you so wish, such as a rose petal shower, remembrance candles, unity candles, sand ceremony, jar full of wishes, blessing stones or time capsules, the list is endless.
Vow Renewal
Perhaps you wish to make that commitment all over again! Many couples choose to renew their vows to each other, often on a significant anniversary. What a fantastic opportunity to celebrate a love that has endured and to make those vows to your partner, once again. Maybe you want to do it privately or maybe have the biggest party. Whatever your requirements, I will help make those dreams a reality.
